Original Summary
If you use Claude Code or Codex, you've probably had this happen. You're an hour into a task. The agent finally understands the codebase, it's tried a few approaches, ruled out the dead ends, and it's this close . Then: limit reached. Resets in 4h 52m. Your options are all bad: Wait 5 hours for the reset, and lose all your momentum Pay for extra usage just to finish something that was almost done Open Codex and start over. Re-explain the bug, paste the files, list everything you already tried, and hope you didn't forget the one thing that mattered The third one is the worst. All the context lives inside that session: what was tried, what failed, why you picked one approach over another. Retyping it never gets all of it, and the new agent ends up repeating mistakes the old one already made. So I built hand-off into Speechy. Speechy is a Mac app that lives in your notch. It started as voice dictation and grew into a hub for coding agents: you can see what each one is doing, answer their prompts, and talk to them without switching windows. Now each agent in the notch has a hand-off button: Continue in Codex. Moves the chat over with every message, the reasoning and the tool history. Codex opens in the same project and picks up where Claude stopped. Fork a copy. Both agents keep running, so you can let them each take a crack at it. Continue from a message. Trim the history first and carry over only the part that matters. Export session. One file you can continue on another Mac. It works both ways, Claude ⇄ Codex. When Claude hits its limit, the notch offers the hand-off on its own, so it's one click (or press 1). Honest limits: the new agent brings its own tools and settings, so agent-specific setup doesn't carry over. It's the conversation that moves, not the configuration. I'd love feedback: Would you actually use this, or do you just wait out the reset? Which agents should it support next?
