Original Summary

I've been using Runna for my running plans and thought it was pretty good, but eventually I needed to pay for Pro to continue. I tried replacing it with ChatGPT, which actually worked decently for creating training schedules. The obvious problem was that it didn't know anything about my running history, so I had to keep explaining everything manually. I already had an Apple Developer account, so I ended up building a small iOS app just for myself. It connects to Apple Health to get my running data, and I've integrated different AI models through their APIs, mainly ChatGPT and Gemini. Now I can basically chat with an AI about my training, ask it to help plan workouts, and have it use my actual running history instead of guessing everything. So far it works surprisingly well, although I'm obviously a sample size of one. I originally had no plans to release this. It was just something I wanted for myself, but now I'm wondering if there's actually a market for it. Would you try something like this, or is the running app market already too crowded? Also curious whether you'd see this as a standalone subscription product or more of a personal tool for people who already use AI. Its called caden and i can send a link for the testflight if anyone is interested submitted by /u/Trick_Attempt_9734 [link] [comments]
