Original Summary

It has already got 30 installs from vs code marketplace and 190+ downloads from open-vsx Honestly, I wasn't expecting to see people checking it out this early. So, what is LocalBridge? It's a VS Code extension that lets you use AI tools like Claude from the browser to work directly with your local codebase. Instead of copying code back and forth between Claude and VS Code, you can ask Claude to read your files, write code, create files, run commands, execute tests, and help debug errors on your local machine. Everything stays on your machine, there's no server for localbridge. I'm building this to make browser-based AI tools more useful for actual development, without needing to pay for a separate coding assistant. It's free to use btw. One thing to note: you'll need to configure a tunnel using ngrok to connect Claude to your local machine. Would love to hear your thoughts. submitted by /u/Little_Thanos [link] [comments]
