Original Summary

Hi I kept losing time scrolling for a visual direction before generating an image. I often knew the feeling I wanted ("warm, nostalgic, ink drawing") but not the style reference that would get me there. So I built Visual Atlas : https://visualatlas.xyz/ What it does: 29,440 visual styles, with new ones added every day Search and filter by mood, technique, influence, color or keyword Each style has a palette, a short description of its visual language, and tags One click to copy the image or the --sref code Everything is free, with no account needed. There's an optional one-time Pro plan for favorites, collections and MCP access (so AI assistants can search the atlas directly). Under the hood: a browser extension collects style references, an AI workflow analyzes each style (mood, technique, lighting, palette), and a Next.js site serves the catalogue from Supabase. It's also live on Product Hunt today if you want to see the launch. I'd love blunt feedback on two things: When you land on the home page, is it clear what to do first? Are mood / technique / influence / color the right filters, or would you search differently? Thanks for reading! submitted by /u/nusquama [link] [comments]
