Original Summary
As an independent developer, I switch between design, programming, and marketing. Each needs a different set of apps and window positions, and setting them up again interrupted my focus. I wanted a quicker way to return to each kind of work, so I built biomes —a free, open-source Windows app for saving app layouts. I can set up a workspace for design, another for coding, and another for marketing, then bring the apps back into their saved positions with a click or hotkey. It also supports multi-monitor layouts. biomes saves window arrangements; it doesn’t restore project files or browser tabs. I’m sharing it in case it helps other independent developers who switch between different kinds of work. biomes on GitHub How do you organize your apps and windows when switching between parts of your project? submitted by /u/RaspberryStill3377 [link] [comments]
