Original Summary
I made this and I hope it's useful to someone. I kept running into the same problem on calls. I'd be sharing my editor, switch to the browser to show something, and everyone would still be looking at the editor. Then I'd fumble through the share picker again mid-sentence. CursorFollow captures the window you're working in and renders it into one stable window called "CursorFollow Output". You share that window once from Zoom, Meet, Slack, Teams, OBS or whatever you use. When you switch apps, the output follows. You can also lock it to one window, or filter which apps it's allowed to follow. Switching between Chrome and VS Code while sharing CursorFollow Output in a Slack huddle It's native on each platform with no shared code: macOS (Swift, ScreenCaptureKit), the most mature of the three Windows 11 (C#, WinUI 3) Linux, Hyprland only for now (C++, GTK 4) MIT licensed. The Windows and Linux builds are newer and rougher. The macOS release isn't notarized, so first launch needs "Open Anyway" in Privacy & Security. Repo: https://github.com/LoganRupe/CursorFollow I'd appreciate feedback, bug reports, or "this already exists and is better" links. If someone wants to port the Linux side beyond Hyprland, I'd be glad of the help. Honestly, I'd be happiest if Slack, Zoom and friends just built this into their screen sharing and made it redundant. If you know someone there, feel free to steal the idea. submitted by /u/logz_erroneous [link] [comments]
