Original Summary
Hey everyone! I built HZtranslator, a small tray app for Windows 10 and 11 that translates text anywhere, without copy-pasting into a browser. What it does: • Ctrl+Alt+T: select text in any app (Discord, browser, Word, game chat…) and it's replaced with the translation right where you typed it. It can also show a popup or just copy it instead. • Ctrl+Shift+S: drag a box over any text on screen (images, videos, games). The built-in Windows OCR reads it offline and a floating popup shows the translation. • Starts with Windows and stays quietly in the tray. • Dark UI, translation history, custom hotkeys, 40+ languages (including Arabic and other right-to-left languages). Translation: DeepL or Google Cloud Translate. You use your own API key, and both have a free monthly tier. Keys are stored encrypted in Windows Credential Manager. Your clipboard is restored after each translation, and the temporary text stays out of Win+V history. It's portable: unzip and run, no installer.
