Original Summary

Hey everyone! I’m a software engineer in my late 20s, working at a large US tech company. I’m fortunate to have a well-paying job, but I’ve always been passionate about building things of my own. Over the past year, I’ve experimented with a few projects, including a post-to-video SaaS for content creators, AI-generated Instagram Reels, and more recently, job application automation. I also tried my hand at dropshipping, where I set up an entire online store from scratch, integrated payment gateways, sourced a product, and even ran Facebook ads. Unfortunately, despite all that effort, I couldn’t get a single sale. The challenge is that I enjoy building things, but I haven’t quite figured out how to get them in front of the right people. Sometimes my engineering mindset takes over. I keep thinking, “If I were a customer, would I actually use this?” And I end up spending weeks improving things instead of launching. I’ve never really launched on Product Hunt or explored marketing seriously for my SaaS projects. I’m happy to invest some money into growing a product, but I’m honestly unsure where to begin. I’m not here to promote anything. I’d genuinely love to learn from people who’ve been through a similar journey and connect with other builders. I’d be really grateful for any advice, guidance, or support from this community. Even small suggestions or lessons from your own experiences would mean a lot. Thanks for reading, and wishing everyone here success with whatever they’re building! :) submitted by /u/AloneSubject8990 [link] [comments]
