Original Summary
I used to think contributing to open source was mostly about being good enough at coding. Turns out, finding the right issue was a bigger problem. I'd search for "good first issue", open a bunch of repos, get overwhelmed by huge codebases, and eventually give up. Recently I started filtering issues based on my actual skills and whether the repo was active. I've now got 3 merged PRs across 3 different projects. It made open source feel much less intimidating. Curious how do you guys usually find issues that are actually worth working on? submitted by /u/Special_Hall_3044 [link] [comments]
