Original Summary
I've been spending a lot of time testing AI and SaaS tools, and one thing I've noticed is how different a product can look from the outside compared with what you discover when you start using it. The landing page might explain all the features and the demo might look great. But then you try to complete a real task and discover a limitation, an awkward workflow, or something the alternatives handle differently. Sometimes the product is better than the marketing makes it look. Sometimes the marketing promises more than the experience delivers. I think founders can get so close to what they've built that it's difficult to see the experience the way a new user does. You already know where everything is and why each feature exists. A first-time user doesn't have that context. That's one reason I value independent, hands-on product testing. It forces you to look beyond the feature list and ask what the product is actually like to use. I'd love to hear from founders: What's something about your product that only becomes obvious when someone actually uses it? submitted by /u/writerDiana [link] [comments]
