Original Summary
What it does: you paste or upload a freelance contract, and it flags risky terms around IP/source code ownership, payment protections, and scope, comparing each against fair-market baseline language. Shows the exact clause, why it's risky, and a suggested edit. Why I built it: someone on r/Entrepreneurs mentioned freelancers can't afford a lawyer for every small contract, so this is meant to be a free first pass before signing anything. Stack: React + Vite, deterministic pattern-matching (not an LLM call), PDF/docx parsing client-side. No backend, no data storage — everything runs in the browser. Try it: redflagscan-delta.vercel.app Still early, so any feedback on the UX or false positives/negatives is genuinely useful. It's a screening tool, not legal advice, and I've tried to make that clear in the app itself rather than burying it. submitted by /u/Alek_Enev [link] [comments]
