Original Summary

I’ve recently written an ebook and I’m planning to run paid ads for it on Instagram, but I’m confused about whether I should create a static image ad showing the book and its benefits or make a short video/Reel to promote it. One reason I’m leaning toward an image ad is that I feel people often skip an ad video as soon as they realize it’s an advertisement, sometimes before they even understand what the product is. With an image, the product can be shown immediately, along with the problem it solves and the main benefits, so the viewer can understand the offer at a glance. But I’m not sure whether this assumption is actually correct or whether video ads generally perform better at grabbing attention and generating sales. For people who have experience running Instagram ads, especially for ebooks or digital products: Which format has worked better for you? Are video/Reel ads actually better at generating sales? Can a well-designed image ad perform just as well? If you had a limited budget and were starting from scratch, which would you test first? submitted by /u/Abject-Ad5849 [link] [comments]
