Original Summary
HaloSwitch started as a small side project to make switching between open Mac apps feel more direct. Instead of cycling through apps, you hold the middle mouse button, flick toward the app you want, and release. The apps appear in a ring near your pointer. I added Option + Click for trackpads and regular mice, a keyboard trigger, pinned/excluded apps, and an optional row of quick actions. Window previews are opt-in because they need macOS Screen Recording permission; switching apps itself does not. It is now live on the Mac App Store for macOS 14+. I’m the solo developer. I would especially like to know whether the middle-click gesture feels natural and whether the ring is easy to scan when several apps are open.
