Original Summary

Reposting with a YouTube trailer because the Reddit video wasn't playable. I've deleted the earlier posts. I love hack-and-slash games, but I wanted a hero who wasn't another muscular warrior. So I'm making HAMSTER: CLAW, about a hamster whose girlfriend gets kidnapped by an owl. He fights his way from the roots of a tree up to its nest. I'm aiming for something lighter and easy to get into. No character classes or complicated builds: you find weapons with random stats, upgrade their skills, and transfer skill sets between compatible weapons. Discarded bottles and hamster wheels become part of the world you explore. I'm using Godot, GPT Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 for code, and Meshy AI for monsters and environments. The artwork, effects and audio use AI alongside assets licensed for commercial use. My part is deciding the story and direction, testing the game, and choosing what to keep or change. It's still in development. The Steam page is live, and I'm planning a demo of the first 10 floors. The demo isn't out yet. I'd love to hear which parts make you want to play and which need more work. submitted by /u/Tap_Little [link] [comments]
