Original Summary
https://reddit.com/link/1wzyjsm/video/i5nky2tx52uh1/player I work on an iOS app, its Android version, a Spring Boot backend and a couple of Next.js sites. Every morning that meant Xcode, Android Studio, IntelliJ and VS Code open at once, mostly so I could press Run in each one. And these days Claude Code writes a lot of the code in a terminal anyway. So I built DevTerminal: a normal macOS terminal (your shell, your config) where every tab knows what project it's in and has a Run button. - Android: Run builds, installs on your phone or emulator, launches the app and streams its logcat. You can install emulators from a menu without opening Android Studio. - iOS: builds and launches in the Simulator or on your iPhone. - Spring Boot / Next.js / Node / Rust / Go / Django / Rails / Flutter / React Native…: it finds the right command (bootRun, npm run dev, …). - Output goes to a run panel under the shell, with find and filter, so Claude Code (or whatever you run) stays in the tab above it. - Chrome-style tabs, one per project, and Xcode's keys everywhere: ⌘R run, ⌘B build, ⌘U test, ⇧⌘K clean. It still uses Xcode's and Android's build tools under the hood. It just means I don't open the IDEs to run things anymore. devterminal.app https://devterminal.app What would you want it to run next? submitted by /u/Prestigious_Ad_3492 [link] [comments]
