Original Summary

Hey all — indie Mac dev here. I run a live weekly video podcast and got tired of paying $50/year for a virtual camera (or wrestling OBS) just to put a lower third on a Zoom call, so I built CamDeck. It's a native macOS camera extension that shows up as an ordinary camera in Zoom, Meet, etc. Overlays (images/video), a live lower-third bar (weather, now-playing, RSS, countdowns), QR codes, 20 real-time effects, an emergency slide button, and a broadcast timer. Signed and notarized, no account, no subscription — completely free, tip-supported. I built it for a specific need I had but everyone kept asking about it, so here it is. camdeckapp.com submitted by /u/tnt_shark [link] [comments]
