Hey everyone, I’ve been working on a side project called Wordaboo, a language-learning app I recently launched on both iOS and Android. The idea started because I wanted to experiment with making language learning feel a bit less repetitive AND more intuitive: vocabulary, exercises, progression, streaks, etc. I ended up building it into a full app with multiple languages, light/dark mode, progress tracking, friends/social features and different types of lessons. This is my first time actually taking an app from an idea all the way through development and publishing it on both app stores, so figuring out the development, store reviews and now actually getting people to discover it has been a pretty difficult task. I’m currently trying to improve the app based on actual user feedback rather than just adding whatever I think people want. I’d especially love feedback on: Does the concept make you want to try it? What would make you choose a new language app over something established like Duolingo? Is there anything you think a small language-learning app could do that the big apps currently don’t?
