Original Summary

Basically, I'm trying to make a music promotion platform where anybody can upload a song they made, that song gets put into a queue, and then the songs in the queue are played live for anybody on the website to hear. You would then be able to pay money to "boost" your songs higher in the queue or buy a premium subscription to get unlimited uploads, but I haven't implemented this yet. What I want to understand is if this service has any chance of succeeding, because I know a lot of artists probably just use TikTok or similar social media platforms to promote their music. I think the key differentiating factor for my service would be that it's easy to use and doesn't require the artist to do much at all, and it's a live, shared listening platform so you could get instant exposure. Obviously right now no artist would use my platform because there's no audience/user base, but I'm trying to figure out whether it's even possible to get to a point where artists feel like there's value in using this service. Here's the website right now (it's very bare bones and you can technically upload anything, which is just temporary): https://playthatshit.com/ submitted by /u/BeautifulSetting2286 [link] [comments]
