Original Summary

I’ve been working on TikiType (tikitype.com), basically a free typing site with typing tests, practice modes, endurance, etc. I’m at the point where the product is usable, but I’m way less sure about distribution. The obvious audience seems like students/schools, but one issue I’ve been running into is that school networks can be pretty aggressive about blocking newer sites/domains. Curious if anyone here has experience with that. Is getting approved by school filters mostly a matter of domain reputation/age, teachers requesting the site, getting categorized properly, or something else? Also, if you were trying to get the first 500 actual users for something like this with basically no ad budget, what would you focus on? SEO? Reaching out to teachers? TikTok? Would also love any feedback on the site itself. Anything confusing, unnecessary, or missing? And assuming it ever got some real traction, how would you monetize something like this without making it annoying? I’ve thought about school/teacher features, premium stats, customization/gamification, etc., but haven’t really decided. Mostly just trying to figure out what I should actually focus on next. submitted by /u/sgunawan514 [link] [comments]
