Original Summary

Solo dev from India here. I've been building Sidekins for a few weeks and I've got hooked on using it myself, which I didn't expect. You design a little pixel character, it lives on your Mac and peeps from the side of the screen. The fun part is the social side: I ask my kin to go to my friend's screen and do something silly (a dance, a fart sound, become Shrek and tell them I'm running late) and it actually shows up on their desktop and says it. It also does real work: it can point at things in an app and show you how they work, or do small tasks for you like playing a song or adding something to a cart. Free, Mac only for now (Apple silicon): sidekins.com/?ref=reddit-sideproject What would you want it to do? And honestly, does the friends part sound fun or annoying? submitted by /u/Fit-Resident-2240 [link] [comments]
