Original Summary

Hi all. I've been building MentalNest, a wellness app that connects daily check-ins, journaling and an AI companion called Wren. Most mood apps show you charts and stop there. Wren learns your personal baseline and explains what it notices in plain language, with the evidence behind it, like "your mood averages 6.6 after 7+ hours of sleep and 5.2 after shorter nights." Then it suggests one small thing to try. What's in the prototype: Daily check-ins and a journal that picks up themes as you write Wren chat, plus a hands-free voice mode Guided practices (breathing, grounding, body scan and more) A "What Wren knows" page where you can see and delete everything it has learned Crisis language is screened before any AI responds Privacy first: data stays in your browser, and third-party AI is off unless you opt in It's an early web prototype, and the app is still in development (Next.js on Cloudflare). The demo loads with a sample user, so you don't need to enter anything personal. Try it here: mentalnest.org Leave feedback: Here I'd love to hear: What felt useful, and what felt pointless? Does the AI feel helpful or gimmicky? Would you pay for something like this? There's a 1-minute form on the page, or just reply here. Critical feedback both on the site and under the comments are welcome. Disclaimer: MentalNest is a wellness tool, not medical care and cannot diagnose mental conditions. submitted by /u/Abdurakhmon [link] [comments]
