Original Summary

few weeks ago i posted here about getting some early traction with my company basically building a proposal/workflow tool for Webflow agencies / digital studios and then randomly someone from an agency network reached out they have access to pretty much the exact type of people i’m trying to get in front of at first i was like cool, maybe this turns into one of those “yeah bro let’s collab” conversations and then dies 💀 but instead i just decided to make it an actual deal so i drafted the whole distribution agreement myself commission attribution windows reporting payment terms all the boring shit lol few rounds of back and forth and they actually signed it on Saturday the deal is basically: → they refer people through tracked links → i give them 25% of paid revenue → capped at 12 months per customer → quarterly reconciliation so nobody has to argue about who referred who honestly this feels way more meaningful than getting another random signup from an ad because now there’s an actual distribution channel someone else already has the audience + trust i just have to make the product good enough that those people actually pay which is also the scary part lol now i need to get: first placement first referral first customer from the channel then i’ll actually know if this thing works or if i just spent a week writing a fancy agreement for nothing 💀 also adding more paid ad channels because the ones i’ve tested so far are converting pretty well small win, but feels like a real one. submitted by /u/CourseOk9328 [link] [comments]
