Original Summary
I built a backup tool for my own projects and later turned it into a small B2B SaaS. Before launch I wrote over 800 tests and spent weeks trying to break it, so I was pretty confident. Then real users ran into things I never would have come up with. Not because they did anything wrong, but because they use the product in ways that make perfect sense to them and had simply never crossed my mind. Every time one of them wrote in, they were right, and the product got a little better. Some left along the way, which is fair. The ones who stayed did more for the product than all my tests together. Building is fast these days, and everyone warns you that getting users is hard. What nobody tells you is how much you only learn once people actually start using it. What did your users catch that your tests never did? submitted by /u/Embarrassed_Machine5 [link] [comments]
