Original Summary
I’m the developer of KeyHarbor, a desktop app for managing development credentials locally. It organizes secrets into projects and separate dev, staging, and prod environments. Values stay masked in the UI, and vaults are encrypted on disk. KeyHarbor includes CLI and MCP integration, so terminal tools and AI coding agents can request secrets from your local vault. Each secret access request opens a desktop prompt showing the project, environment, and requested keys, giving you control to approve or deny access. It also supports .env imports, checks for missing required configuration, and secret version history. It’s free, MIT-licensed, and doesn’t require an account. The README includes screenshots using dummy data and instructions for running it.
