Original Summary
I'm Doug, the founder of Benson. I launched it in 2022 as a discount-extension blocker. Shopify's move to sandboxed Plus checkouts broke the original approach, and I relaunched the rebuilt product yesterday. The problem has widened: a store session might involve a person, a coupon extension, an AI shopping agent or other automation. Benson labels those sessions and gives merchants storefront controls, such as hiding extension pop-ups or capping code attempts, with holdout measurement behind changes. Storefront controls and Shopify checkout controls are separate. Detection and agent analytics are free on every plan. New stores get 14 days of the full product with no card. The Shopify App Store submission is still awaiting review; the site and demo are here: https://trybenson.com/preview I'd value feedback from Shopify merchants and app builders: what evidence would you want to see before trusting a session label, and is the merchant problem clear from the demo? submitted by /u/lenfakii [link] [comments]
