Original Summary

Got a bit sick of converter sites and media encoder as I just want a MOV as an MP4 and instead it's upload to god knows where, sit in a queue, then "sign up to convert more files". so I figured out how to build one that runs only in your browser and did https://massfileconverter.com Nothing leaves your machine. ffmpeg compiled to WebAssembly does the video, pdf-lib does the PDFs. At the moment it does video conversion and compression, audio to MP3, and the usual PDF jobs (merge, split, photos to PDF). You can drop plenty of files in at once. Thought it'd crash on my android with a big video and it actually survived, just took a while. it's free, no account. What are the other annoying file things you have to do? Trying to figure out what to add next and if you have any other feedback as i'm new to this whole building and sharing thing. submitted by /u/Ok_Yogurtcloset_4166 [link] [comments]
