Original Summary

Hey everyone — I've been working on a small side project and wanted to share it: tikstory.net The problem: TikTok Stories disappear after 24 hours, and if you watch one while logged in, the creator sees your name in the viewer list. TikTok also keeps nudging you to create an account just to browse. I wanted a simple way to look at public content without any of that, whether that's checking what a competitor posted, saving a recipe video, or just browsing without leaving a trace. What it does: 👀 View public TikTok Stories anonymously. No login, no account, and you don't show up in the viewer list ⬇️ Download Stories and videos as MP4, and grab the sound as MP3 🔁 Repost viewer : see what a public account has reposted 🖼️ Full-size profile pictures , plus follower, like and video counts 📱 Works in any browser (iPhone, Android, desktop), with nothing to install 🌍 Available in 13 languages, with dark mode What it doesn't do: it only works for public accounts. Private accounts stay private, and I'm not trying to get around that. Downloads are meant for personal use. Privacy: there's no signup, and I don't store search history or IPs. Requests go out from the server side, so your TikTok account is never involved. Tech, for the curious: Next.js on Cloudflare Workers, with media streamed through the Worker so the browser never talks to TikTok directly. It's free, and I'd really appreciate feedback: what's confusing, what's broken, what you'd want added. Thanks for taking a look! submitted by /u/Hungry_Incident1146 [link] [comments]
