Original Summary
I’ve been using random “free” web tools for years and honestly most of them feel ancient. Slow pages, cluttered UI, ads everywhere, and half the time you’re not even sure what the tool actually checked. So I started building Magictools, mostly because I kept hitting the same wall: need to check a page’s SEO / social preview / basic site health find a tool that looks fine then either pay, sign up, or get a report that’s basically public info dressed up like premium data A lot of that stuff isn’t secret. It’s in the HTML, headers, robots rules, meta tags, public crawl signals… but plenty of products still charge for it. What it does (13 tools, all free, no account): SEO / GEO / AI audit — one-page check with actual evidence, not just a vague score AI crawler audit — robots.txt, llms.txt, that kind of thing Social preview lab — see how a link might look before you post Website image downloader Creator stuff — YouTube/TikTok/Vimeo/Bilibili thumbnails, podcast artwork, etc. No signup. No permanent history on my side. Just paste a public URL and get a result. Still rough in places (I’m one person building this), but the whole point was: make it feel like a modern site, not a tool graveyard from 2009. Would love feedback on: which tool you’d actually use first what’s still missing / broken whether the reports feel useful or just “nice looking noise” Link: https://magictools.si submitted by /u/mrtareq778 [link] [comments]
