Original Summary
If you use your phone for 1 hour every day, that becomes 365 hours in a year. With that much time, you could learn guitar and become good enough to play dozens of songs confidently. 3 hours every day becomes 1,095 hours in a year. You could use that time to learn video editing and become good enough to create professional-looking videos. 6 hours every day becomes 2,190 hours in a year. You could spend that time learning music production, creating hundreds of tracks and building a serious creative skill. 9 hours every day becomes 3,285 hours in a year. That is enough time to seriously improve at illustration, photography, programming, a language, fitness, music, or any other skill you care about. Now check your screen-time report. Maybe it is 2 hours. Maybe 5. Maybe 9. Multiply it by 365. That is how much time you are giving to your phone every year. The uncomfortable question is, what are you getting back for it? Because those hours could be helping you become really good at something. Instead, they are often disappearing into Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, and other apps that keep you scrolling. That is why I built Pausee . Pausee helps you see where your screen time is going and adds some friction between you and the apps that keep taking your time. You do not have to completely quit your phone. Just make sure your phone is not quietly taking the time you wanted for yourself. What skill would you learn if you got those hours back? submitted by /u/Rich-Particular1175 [link] [comments]
