Original Summary
This project was written entirely with the assistance of an AI model (Claude). I directed the architecture, performed all testing on real hardware, fixed issues, and released the full source code. I wanted DLSS Frame Generation in a few Unreal Engine games that never received official support, so I built a lightweight winmm.dll proxy injector that enables it through NVIDIA Streamline. What it does It initializes Streamline early, hooks the necessary D3D12/DXGI calls, and supplies camera matrices, depth, and motion vectors so DLSS Frame Generation can run. It automatically detects different UE4 view-buffer layouts for better compatibility. Important notes This targets DLSS Frame Generation 4.5 (Streamline-based), not DLSS 5. Tested and working on: Scarlet Nexus (UE4), Code Vein (UE4), Captain Tsubasa: World Fighters (UE5), and Silent Hill Townfall (UE5). Some stuttering can appear in very dense scenes (normal for frame generation). No major ghosting observed in normal gameplay. Broader compatibility with other UE4/UE5 DX12 titles is still experimental. Requirements NVIDIA GPU that supports DLSS Frame Generation Official NVIDIA Streamline production binaries (tested with 2.14.1 – these are not redistributed) Game running in DirectX 12 mode Full source, build instructions, config files, and releases are here: https://github.com/gtfhtngy/dx12-dlss-framegen-injector This is not affiliated with NVIDIA. Use at your own risk and back up your game files. I’d appreciate any feedback, especially compatibility reports on other UE games or suggestions for improvement. submitted by /u/iliyagamer1385 [link] [comments]
