Original Summary
I wanted Windows-style mouse scrolling on my Mac, but I liked the trackpad exactly as it was. Changing the macOS scroll setting changed both, which kept getting in the way. That became ScrollFix, a small, free, open-source menu bar app. I’m the maintainer. It gives recognized mouse-wheel input a conventional direction and an immediate feel. Middle-click on ordinary content starts autoscroll; on recognized links, the original click reaches the browser so it can open a new tab. Reddit feedback also pushed me to add Home/End like Windows, including Shift selection. There’s now an in-app setup for selecting the current input line in a local zsh Terminal with Shift+Home/End. I’m keeping the defaults simple: turn it on and get on with your work. No account, subscription or telemetry.
