Original Summary

My project is Leviathan War, a persistent multiplayer strategy game. I’m the developer. You play one person in a shared world: work, trade resources, own companies, join political parties, and take part in wars. The part I find most interesting is how the systems intersect. Companies with multiple owners vote on decisions, so owning shares gives you a say in how a business operates. Governments and territorial control add another layer. It runs in the browser. The stack is React + TypeScript, a Bun/Hono API, and PostgreSQL. There’s also a public wiki if you want to understand the systems before making an account. The community is still small, and I’m looking for people who enjoy economy/politics sandboxes to try the first session. My main question: does the game make it clear what you can meaningfully do as a new player? If you stop during signup or the first few minutes, I’d particularly like to know why. Try it: https://leviathanwar.com/?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic_social&utm_campaign=organic_2000&utm_content=sideproject_showcase Read the overview: https://wiki.leviathanwar.com/getting-started/overview/ Happy to discuss the implementation too, especially modeling company ownership and voting. submitted by /u/LoannPowell [link] [comments]
