Original Summary
Before I touch an optic, I run this order: verify both ends against the ticket → inspect/clean/reseat → known-good patch cable → known-good optic → port test → polarity → physical damage → escalate with facts. Biggest time-waster I see: changing three things at once, then learning nothing. Disclosure: I built RackReady, a small kit from my checklists/templates (free sample: https://hasherventures.com/rackready/sample.html ). Curious what experienced techs would add or remove. submitted by /u/No_Sun_2520 [link] [comments]
