Context: the full neural map of a fruit fly (166,691 neurons) was recently completed. I got interested in the escape circuit specifically, it's one of the fastest, most well-documented reflexes in biology. and built a tiny game around it. Mechanics: drag to move, release to swat, try to catch the fly before its escape circuit fires (there's a live simplified visualization of the visual → decision → escape pipeline while you play). 3 attempts, global leaderboard, no account/signup required.
