I edit on flat fees for most clients. The problem: you never know your real hourly rate until the job's done and you add up the hours. By then it's too late. So I built BreakEven , a script that runs inside DaVinci Resolve and shows your actual effective hourly rate live while you work: fee ÷ hours tracked, updating every second. Set a target rate and it turns amber at 80% of the fee, then red past break even with the exact overage in dollars ("3.0h past break even, $240 of unpaid work") instead of finding out the night before delivery. It also tracks time per Resolve page, tags client revisions so you can see what "one more pass" costs, and has a quote helper for pricing the next job. Everything stays local: no account, no cloud.
