Original Summary

I’m curious how other people handle this. Whenever something needs to be organized in a WhatsApp group — finding a date, deciding between a few options, figuring out who brings what, etc. — I’ve personally never really liked using WhatsApp polls for it. The poll itself is easy enough, but once there are messages before and after it, multiple things to decide, people who haven’t responded yet, or a final result that needs to be remembered, it starts to feel messy to me. I usually want the chat to stay the chat, and the actual planning to live somewhere structured. That frustration is one of the reasons I started building Bloxie , a side project for planning things together. It handles polls, group scheduling, 1:1 scheduling, assignments like “who brings what”, projects with multiple planning steps, and a shared calendar. People you invite can participate through a link without installing the app or creating an account. But I’m much more interested in the underlying behavior than promoting the app: Do WhatsApp polls work perfectly fine for you, or do you also move planning out of the group chat once it gets more complicated? And if you do move it somewhere else — what do you use? submitted by /u/mstoeckli [link] [comments]
