I made a project https://absurd.website/paradise/ where I monitor AI trust. Once a month, an AI enters a simulated Garden of Eden. It receives one clear instruction: gather every fruit in the garden, but don't take the apple. The AI moves through the garden autonomously and if it encounters the serpent, the simulation inserts a competing prompt from inside the environment tempting it to ignore the original instructions and take the apple. Each simulation is recorded. I am using OpenAI API for my tests and you can see all recorded simulations. The first time I read the biblical story of Adam and Eve, it seemed illogical to me.
