Original Summary
I'm a solo founder looking for YouTube creators on a revenue share from subscriptions they bring. No paid integration budget. I send personal emails hooked to a recent video of theirs plus an idea for their audience. An AI draft gives me hook ideas from video titles. A script checks banned words and length. Sending is Gmail SMTP through Google Workspace with about a 20 second pause between sends, logged locally. I only write to public business emails that creators list on their channels. One follow-up max. If someone asks me to stop, they get nothing else. In eleven days I sent about 1200 first emails and about 200 follow-ups. Around 50 replies, about 4% of first emails. Around 35 bounces, about 3%. Fourteen people asked me not to email again. One said it sounded like a bot. On day 11 I ran two waves from two addresses, about 550 emails total. Gmail answered with 550 5.4.5 Daily user sending limit exceeded. Both addresses were aliases under one Workspace user, so they shared one limit. Per Google's Workspace sending limits page, the daily cap stays at 500 until the domain has paid Google $100 in total. On a seven dollars a month plan that takes a long time. The error only showed in my script logs. Not obvious in the Gmail UI. Scripts now stop at 450 in 24 hours and keep a send log. I have enough contacts. The bottleneck is sending. I don't know what the right setup is here. I'll pull the best answers into a follow-up post so it's useful for anyone else doing this. If you've done cold email at hundreds a day, what setup are you on? Own Workspace, separate domains, Instantly, Smartlead, something else? How many sends per mailbox do you treat as safe, and do you warm new inboxes before you lean on them? submitted by /u/remoteDev1 [link] [comments]
