Hey guys. I'm building an iOS app called Locals. Mainstream maps average everything out to 4.3 stars, and travel blogs just push crowded tourist traps. I wanted a space to just see where my friends went and steal their actual recommendations. With Locals, you can: Track all the places and countries you've been to. Create your own spots and become a local guide for your city. See exactly where your friends went and steal their recommendations for your own trips. I built it natively with SwiftUI and Firebase. The coding was fun, but the "cold start" problem is brutal. Right now, the map mostly just has my own pins from recent trips to Budapest, Croatia, and La Gomera. I'd love some beta testers.
