I'm David V. Kimball, and I make Vault CMS, a free setup that turns Obsidian into a CMS for Astro sites. It works, but it means Obsidian plus a stack of plugins and config, and I wanted one app that already knows Astro. So I built Zeku . You point it at an Astro project and it reads the content collections the site already declares, so every post gets the right frontmatter fields. You write in live preview, see the real page through the project's own astro dev, run an SEO check, and publish with git. Plain files, no account, no AI. Stack is Tauri 2 with a Rust core, Svelte 5, and CodeMirror 6 for the editor. WebView2 has no spellcheck API you can reach from JavaScript, so the spellchecker is Rust with a bundled dictionary. The business side is where I'd love opinions. It's $19 for a founding license (going to $39 after October 31), paid once, with updates for life. The trial is 14 days, and after that nothing locks: it keeps working and shows a small reminder, at most once a day and never while you're typing. Seemed like a fair offer.
