I help lead a club and wanted to show people how agent harnesses handle context, so I built a fun way to go visualize it. It's called Pack Light, a little local app that shows your Claude Code context window as a pixel-art hiker's backpack. Every file read, search, and command output shows up in the pack with a rough token size. Read something twice and it stacks as x2, x3. The fuller the pack, the slower the hiker walks. When Claude Code compacts, the hiker stops at a campfire and drops anything you didn't pin. Pinned items come back every time, even with the app closed. Trail tips flag waste, like reading one file three times or a giant command dump. Subagents tag along as companions with their own little packs.
