Original Summary
Say a designer finishes a homepage revision and uploads the file. They mark the task complete. The account manager is still waiting for client approval. The project lead sees “complete” and assumes the deliverable is ready to close. Everyone is looking at the same task, but “done” means something different to each person. One way to handle this is to separate three stages: Ready for review: The person doing the work has finished their part. Awaiting client approval: Internal checks are complete, and the client has the deliverable. Approved: The designated client contact has accepted it. The handoff also needs an owner. Once the designer finishes, someone should be responsible for requesting approval and tracking the response. But adding more statuses can become extra admin, especially for smaller teams. How do you handle this? Do you keep the original task open until approval, or close production and create a separate approval task? For context, we’re the team behind NOD, a tool for tracking work from connected conversations. We’re interested in how agencies handle this in practice. submitted by /u/Rustic0812 [link] [comments]
