It's called OmniSelect FileSQL (clientvirt.com). You drop in a file, like a CSV, Excel sheet, Parquet file or even an SPSS/SAS/Stata file, and query it with SQL, or type a question in plain English and get the SQL written for you. Everything happens in your browser tab: no upload, no account, no install. How it's built: - A static site with no backend at all. Files are read into memory on your machine and discarded when you close the tab. - The query engine is DuckDB compiled to WebAssembly. I started out on AlaSQL and switched [one line on why, since builders here love this kind of detail]. - The plain-English-to-SQL feature runs locally too, with no AI service or API calls. - You can load up to 26 files at once and join them, even across formats (Excel to CSV to Parquet in one query), then export to CSV, Excel, JSON or Parquet. Business model: The web version is free with no sign-up. Organisations can license a self-hosted build for their intranet or air-gapped machines, with a written license and a security review pack.
