Original Summary
90+ hours of hand-drawing my favorite desk items, learning animation on the way, and building it all in Framer, with custom code written with Claude for fun stuff I couldn't do on my own, like: Desk items you can drag around, with a reset button Scrolling from the hero closes the window into a frame as the project cards appear, and 40 drawings of my journal flip its pages as you scroll Footer circles that shoot out colorful beads when you click them My in-site character to have different section-linked dialogue on different pages Maybe a lot of high effort low reward stuff, like there's a 56-frame animation of my eyes that I didn't end up using (which took 20+ hours to draw), and many decisions took hours before execution like how the in-site character looked like, what it'd say, if the mobile version had a different reading progress bar than the desktop, etc, but I couldn't stop! This was as much fun as it was frustrating, and made me surer that I just love, love, love drawing and designing stuff. Here's the site: shelbykho.com (works on mobile, but definitely best on bigger screens) If you have a look, I'd love to hear what you think! This is fresh, so feedback would be very cool :D submitted by /u/New_Entertainment_68 [link] [comments]
