Original Summary
We have a market analysis software for traders. The platform is available in 4 languages, but right now we’re focusing mostly on Spanish-speaking users. Something I’ve noticed lately is that users ask for A LOT of changes. Add this, change this, you should have this, why doesn’t it do this, etc. Obviously we want feedback and some of the suggestions have actually been really good. But what’s confusing me is that a lot of these requests come from people who haven’t really used the platform much yet. Sometimes they’ll ask for something that’s literally already there. They just haven’t explored enough to find it. So I’m trying to figure out if this is just normal when you run a software company Do users of big established platforms like thinkorswim, TradingView, etc. constantly ask for features and changes too? I’m also curious because we’re currently targeting Spanish speakers first. The software itself is in 4 languages, so eventually we’ll be marketing to other groups as well. For anyone who’s had the same software in different markets/languages, did you notice any difference in this? Not saying it’s a Hispanic/Spanish-speaking thing at all. I actually have no idea, which is why I’m asking. I’m trying to understand if it’s cultural, if it’s the type of users we’re attracting, if we need better onboarding, or if this is literally just what having SaaS customers is like. At what point do you listen to a request and say “yeah, we need to build that” vs “this person just needs to learn the product better”? Would love to hear from people who’ve dealt with this at a larger scale. submitted by /u/Trade-nurse [link] [comments]
