I'm the developer. Roundhand is a menu-bar dictation app for Apple silicon Macs. Hold a key, talk, and the text lands at your cursor. Speech is recognised on your Mac. Your audio is never uploaded or saved to disk. An on-device cleanup removes "um" and "uh" and handles restarted sentences. It formats for the app you are in: short in chat, full sentences in email, exact casing in a terminal. It will not read or type into password fields. The surprise while building it: on a set of my own dictations that I checked by hand, the offline rules did better than both cloud LLMs I tried.
