I spent six months learning, figuring things out, and building Tunexa - a tool for downloading video and audio. I thought people would want it and I could make some money from it. Why a downloader? I regularly needed to grab clips from videos for my day job. I wanted something that did everything I needed, instead of having to hunt down another tool every time. Also, I saw some guy online saying there was a ton of traffic in this niche and you could make decent money. So I thought, well, there we go. I need it myself, and there’s a business idea right there. So, how did that work out? Turns out, nobody really gives a shit. Okay, not literally nobody. The site gets around 2,500 visits a month now, but actual purchases are still pretty rare. Basically, I spent six months building myself a tool for work. Might have gone a little overboard there. Anyone else been through this? Built a SaaS, an app, or some other “people are definitely gonna need this” thing, only to end up with two users: you and your mom? Genuinely curious what you did next.
