I’m building DuoBoard, an Android chore board for two people sharing a home. One design choice I’ve been thinking about is that repeating a task and sharing a task are different things. For example, taking the bins out every Tuesday is a schedule. Deciding who does it this Tuesday is a separate agreement. In DuoBoard, chores can have due dates and repeats, belong to either person or both, and alternate turns automatically. The board uses To Do, Doing and Done; groceries live in a separate shared list. The tradeoff is flexibility versus another setting to understand. A fixed owner makes sense for some jobs; switching turns makes more sense for others. I’d like feedback from people who share household jobs: would you expect a recurring chore to stay with the same person by default, or ask about alternating when you create it? It’s free, with no ads or account signup. You can try it on one Android phone; sharing requires two Android phones paired through Settings → Sync. There’s no iPhone version. I’m the developer.
