Original Summary
Every January I'd set goals like "$10K MRR by summer" and only figure out months later what the plan actually needed. So a friend and I built Delulu. You type a goal in plain English, like "$20K MRR in 5 months", "read 52 books this year" or "run a marathon in 4 months", and it prints a receipt: - a 0–100 Delulu Score (how hard the plan leans on optimism) - the numbers it actually takes: customers a month, pages a day, weekly mileage, hours of practice - what happens if you give yourself more time (you can drag the deadline and watch the score move) A few things we cared about: - It's deterministic math, not AI. Same inputs, same score, every time. Every formula is on the methodology page, so you can argue with it. - 8 kinds of goals: startup, creator, savings, salary, languages, reading, running and buying a home. - No sign-up for your first score, and no subscription. The optimiser is $5 for one goal or $19 for a year, and it never auto-renews. - The fun bits: share your receipt as a story, dare a friend with their goal pre-filled, or build a "2027 goals" board where every card flips over to show the math. Stack: Next.js on Vercel, Postgres on Neon, and Polar for one-time payments. I'd genuinely love feedback, especially: Does the score feel fair for your goal? If not, what's off? Which goal type should we add next? https://isitdelulu.app/?ref=reddit-sideproject-launch submitted by /u/ShivrajNag [link] [comments]
