Original Summary
I built Gearlift, an Android app that turns the equipment you actually have (bodyweight, dumbbells, bands, kettlebell…) into a structured workout and guides you set by set. No ads, no subscription, no account needed. Someone asked me how it can be free, so here's the setup: The whole exercise database (~870 exercises, public domain) ships inside the app, so the workout is built on the phone. There's no backend and no API. Exercise images come from a free public CDN. History stays on the device. Google sign-in for cloud backup is optional, and it runs on Firebase's free tier. Total cost: the one-time $25 Play Store fee. Built with React Native / Expo, available in 9 languages. Happy to answer questions about the no-backend approach. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gearlift.app submitted by /u/pasmasseiro [link] [comments]
